Trayers' Cowdog Clinic
On any given day, Charlie Trayer will wear many hats-rancher, horseman, dog trainer, and that's just to name a few. No matter which job he is doing at the time, however, you will find Charlie always the same honest, patient man whose wise way with dogs, horses, and cattle is making him a sought after and respected clinician. Charlie invested in his first Hangin' Tree Cowdogs over a decade ago as an alternative to hiring cowboys to work the yearling cattle. He quickly found the dogs to be irreplaceable assets on the ranch and began raising them. He now raises and sells puppies as well as trained dogs to ranchers all over the country. After he began raising and training, Charlie began to see a need to educate ranchers on how to use dogs in their cattle operations. In turn, he also saw a need to teach the ranchers who had invested in dogs how to handle and train them properly. Charlie holds demonstration and clinics across the Midwest and throughout the nation. He is also author of an on-going book and video series detailing the proper methods for training the working cowdog All clinics will be held at the Covered Outdoor Arena Friday, May 12, from 11:00 -12:00 noon and 3:30 - 4:30. Saturday, May 13 the clinic will be from 11:30-12:30. |
