Below are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions about Western Heritage Classic. If you should have a question and have not found the answer here or elsewhere on the website, please call our office at 325-677-4376. 

ATM's

Will there be an ATM on the grounds?

Yes. We will have an ATM in the Coliseum and Big Country Hall.

Will the vendors accept a Debit/Credit card?

It depends on the vendor and their capabilities. We recommend bringing cash just in case.

Bad Weather

What happens if there is bad weather?

If lightning is present then the Parade, Matched Horse Races, Dances and Cowboy Poetry & Music are subject to being cancelled. However please check our website, Facebook page, Twitter or give us a call 325-677-4376 to verify.

Concerts

May I bring my own cooler for the concerts/dances?

No, but drinks will be available to purchase.

Does a Grounds Pass serve as an admission ticket for the concerts/dances?

No, concert tickets are sold separately.

*New for 2014* The Friday Ranch Rodeo ticket will also serve as your admission ticket to the concert for Friday night only.

Matched Horse Races

Do I need a grounds pass to get into the Matched Horse Races?

YES! You will need a grounds pass or rodeo ticket to attend the races.

If I want to park my vehicle inside the gate, how much will I be charged?

$20 per vehicle.

How do I reserve a trailer spot for the Matched Horse Races?

Call Todd Richardson at 806-681-6665.

What time should I arrive to get a good seat?

Arrive early! The Matched Horse Races is a popular event so stake out your place at least 45 minutes prior.

If I am racing, will I need to bring papers for my horse?

All competing horses must have a current Coggins and 45-day health certificate to enter.

Tickets

When do tickets go on sale?

If you purchased a Ranch Rodeo ticket for last years Western Heritage Classic you will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets. We will contact you with purchasing details March 1st.

If you did not purchase tickets for last years Ranch Rodeo, tickets will be available to purchase starting April 26 at 10am.

How can I purchase tickets?

Option 1 - online
Option 2 - via phone with a credit/debit card
Option 3 - in person with a credit/debit card, cash, check, or money order

What will I need to participate in the Chuckwagon Lunch on Saturday?

A grounds pass and a meal ticket. There’s lots of shopping to do to work off those calories!

What is included in a Ranch Rodeo ticket?

Admission to the Ranch Rodeo for that night and serves as a grounds pass as well.

*New for 2014* The Friday Ranch Rodeo ticket will also serve as your admission ticket to the concert for Friday night only.

What is included in a grounds pass? (Depends on schedules events for the day)

Admission onto the grounds to: shop at the Mall of Fame trade show, listen to the Cowboy Music & Poetry, Fiddlers Contest, Cowdog Demonstration, Horse Clinic, Bit & Spur show, watch little cowboys/cowgirls participate in the Children’s Activities (Saturday only), and more.

Where to stay?

We are coming from out of town, are there hotels available and how far in advance should we make our reservation?

Western Heritage Classic is held the same weekend as the college graduations and Mother’s Day weekend. We suggest you make your reservations at least a year in advance.

Does the Expo Center of Taylor County have RV spaces and hookups?

Yes! They have 30 and 50 amp hookups. For more details and to reserve, please call 325-677-4376.
